You have not yet experienced field work in demolition but are open to learning what the trade is based off of.
You are ready to commit to your trade based future and welcome working in a team or group environment.
The position typically extends over a 3 to 9 month period and is compensated as indicated in the written Job Description, specific to this position.

You have completed either a period of time as an Apprentice or be able to demonstrate safe and effective knowledge as an experienced demolition labourer. Your ability to accept instruction and willingness to undertake training as required, as well as provide mentorship to those in need of trade based guidance, is expected to achieve the progression to Lead Hand.
- Able to guide & mentor
- Safely & effectively maintain and operate small/medium equipment, all tools & power tools
- Demonstrate capability in the safe operation and maintenance of mobile equipment
- Demonstrate these attributes, as well as those of the Apprentice
Your direction as a demolition labourer has led you to become familiar with the operation and maintenance of all of the tools, materials and equipment involved in the various processes required in most/all trade circumstances. Involvement and preparation of project related documentation and paperwork is familiar and will be a requirement to advance to Foreman.
- Be familiar preparing essential site & equipment relevant documentation
- Provide operational support to the site supervisor
- Have the ability to substitute project foreman in circumstances where the Foreman is required off site
- Be licenced to drive in BC, with a class 5 drivers licence and provide drivers abstract
- Demonstrate these attributes, as well as those of the Demo Labourer
Projects will be under the direction of personnel that have been undertaking all of the responsibilities required to successfully complete a job. Facilitating and attending regular site, project and company safety & progress meeting and providing reliable feedback to management. Proven experience in the previous roles essential to application for this position.
- Have a strong applied understanding of the Corporate Health & Safety Program
- Consistently and actively promote workplace safety
- Be proficient in the development of assessments, plans & procedures pivotal to the safe and efficient execution of their assigned project
- Have sharp organizational skills and good people management skills
- Be comfortable problem solving and developing solutions
- Demonstrate these attributes, as well as those of the Lead Hand
